It took me just 40 seconds to reach “Sky Garden” at 273 m by the fastest elevator in Japan, as it boasts a maximum travel speed of 750 meters per minute. The Sky Garden is located at the 69th floor of the Landmark Tower, which was completed in 1993 and thanks to its height of 296,3 meters is the tallest building in Yokohama and the second tallest building in Japan. Landmark Tower really is like a landmark among other high-rise buildings in Yokohama.
Walking towards the Landmark Tower I passed by this guy feeding pigeons and seagulls
Mitsubishi Heavy Industries Building is the closest tall building, dark tall building is Minato Mirai Grand Central Tower and the white triangle building is Tsutaya. The roof in the middle front belongs to the Museum of Art and the right front roof belongs to MARK IS minatomirai shopping center
Bank of Yokohama Head Office is the building with the interesting blue roof in the left front of the photo and to the right is the Mitsubishi building. I love their rooftop heliports. And also the fact that despite their height of 152,5m and 152m respectively, I am well above them from my observation point at 273 m 🙂
New Otani Inn Yokohama is that interestingly shaped building in the middle front
Óoka gawa = Big River is to the right from the Kitanaka Bridge and notice the Kishamichi Promenade to the left. Blue coloured Yokohama stadium is also to be seen. The ship Hikawa Maru can be seen in the upper left corner of the photo, docked next to Yamashita Park and I can even decipher the Marine Tower close to them

Nippon Maru, a Japanese ship from 1930, 97 m long, is permanently docked under Landmark Tower at Yokohama harbor. It has 4 masts and 32 sail. It is a museum now

Sail shaped building is the Intercontinental Yokohama Grand Hotel, which remembers me to W Barcelona hotel, it is 140 m tall and was completed in 1991. Snow white building to the left is National Convention Hall of Yokohama
Brown and green box- like building behind the Ferris wheel is the Cup Noodles Museum
Yokohama Cosmo World amusement park with Cosmo Clock 21 giant Ferris wheel 112,5 m tall. One rotation of the 100 m diameter wheel takes 15 minutes
