I find it very interesting that when the Grand Inna Bali Beach hotel was constructed it caused an uproar in Bali. It is claimed by Bali Banjars that the gods are disturbed if a building rises over the palm tops. Ever since this hotel was completed this rule is considered sacred and has never been broken in Bali again. Thus this hotel remains an exception to the rule and it is the tallest building in Bali. When I think of some huge structures densely clustered together in some tourist resorts of Gran Canaria, this particular building would just be a dwarf there. Anyway, this remains the very first and at the same time the biggest hotel of Bali.
